Fort Chadbourne is located midway between Abilene and San Angelo, Texas on U. S. Highway 277, 12 miles north of Bronte.

Our physical address is 651 Fort Chadbourne, Bronte, Texas 76933.   

Let the 30 foot cavalry spur at the front gate be your guide. “Ride On In” for a fun and educational day at Historic Fort Chadbourne.

Hours

The Visitor Center is open Tuesday thru Saturday from
8:00 a.m. until 4:45 p.m.  We are closed each year during the Christmas Holidays from December 24th thru January 1st, and most major holidays. 

Admission

Admission is free but may we suggest a $10.00 donation per person.  Donations are gladly accepted to help keep the doors open!
